YAZZIE GIRLA Poem by C. M. Miller
The water kettle beckons. She gets my special mug and nestles it next to hers. Tea time for lovers. Yazzie girl sings. The candle light reflects warmly in our eyes, revealing the color of our hearts . . . Our mugs release an inviting scent, encouraging our hearts to soar . . . Yazzie girl sings. The candle light dims as our hearts return to kiss the sweet earth. Her lips upon mine now, like honey for the tea. Dear man, her eyes say. Little Bird, say mine. © 2022 C. M. MillerFeatured Review
