A Poem by C. M. Miller
Time echoes up and down the length of the string . . . the future is
coming and I'm still in yesterday.
(Time cares not, come what may, but come it will)
Time is neutral . .
. with dark curtains and
despair draped everywhere . . . Time is measured
each to his own . . . how many
broken hearts . . . how many tears shed
. . . days drip by . . . months of mourning
. . . years of despair . . .
(Time cares not, come what may, but come it will)
Time is neutral . .
. with hope and horizons ahead
. . . Time is measured
each to his own . . . how many
sweet-hearts . . . how much laughter
shared . . . days rush by . . . months of
rejoicing . . . years of bliss . . . Time echoes up and
down the length of the string . . . the past is coming
and I'm still in tomorrow. © 2021 C. M. MillerReviews
