Love's Long Journey (Thanks to Isaac, Robert & Tulley)A Poem by C. M. MillerMy very, very FIRST "love" poem. Circa 1985 or so. Some of the verses include the titles from my favorite books written by sci-fi writers. The poem a bit over the top, but see I met this girl . . .
In the night sky there are the stars,
like dust. A whirlpool of stars spinning eons into the future. Through this endless firmament my heart yearns for my timeless star-born lover to come home . . . Earth-Song . . . the green hills of Earth beckon you to return . . . as all children of the stars must. And yet, upon your return, still will I see the light of the cosmos emanating from within your eternal eyes . . . Yes, so much like the night sky . . . your eyes, reflecting the whirlpool of stars, like dust.
