Melancholy Glances

Melancholy Glances

A Poem by Charles Roberts
"

Winter

"

Winter breeze and endless needs

A man a part on knees of grief

Melancholy dances with a gentle glance

Strange delight in the agony of the morning light

A cold kiss resonates from the chill of night

Twisted comfort in winters gate

An unusual love affair with such an emotional state

Yet I return each year with an unassuming fate
