Always and forever

Always and forever

A Poem by Yours Truly

All I wanted was to be loved
To share my love with someone special
To share my joys, my dreams
My tears, my fears
My experiences, our differences.
All I wanted was to be loved
But what I got in the end was heartbreak...

If flowers could earn me love,
I'd replant the Garden of Eden.
If rivers could earn me your love,
I'd be the major-most confluence.
If poetic lines could win me your heart,
This poem would blush in inferiority.
Because I love you sweetheart, I love you!
Always and forever sweetheart...

This is a good poem dealing with the anguish of love.
The content is consistent throughout and the flow is good, until the last two lines. I felt "sweetheart, I love you!" was forced. Either that or there are too many" I love you/ sweetheart" in the last two lines. Just my feeling.
A good write, other than that.
