StriveA Poem by Charlatan WoeA Poem About Trees =]To devour light is to exist. Let us stretch toward it with open palms and fingers spread And feel the sunlight lick and twist Its rays about our skin exposed and welcome to all but the human threads Of doubt and mistrust and misery and that which belongs to such a list. And let us take with us as well that we desire to be wed, Happily joined to creatures missed. Let's house and feed and shade and provide unconditionally for all who care to tread Beneath or by where we stand, or even among the bright green blades the sun has kissed. © 2008 Charlatan Woe |
