Dark Secrets

Dark Secrets

A Poem by ChaoticFragileSoul

a hidden past is mine to hold
some stories should not be told

my secrets haunt me, yes this is true
if only you knew what I've been through

to cover behind these wicked lies
to camouflage and always disguise

but my silence won't protect for long
to cover behind this evil is wrong

simply dress them up, only to suppress them
for my acts exposed will only condemn

my heart can't bear this bitter lie
my head tells me not to even try

secrets that produce judgement, live in shame and guilt
a house full of deceit, from lies deception is built

words to bury words, until the minds content
only to masquerade and misrepresent

my decision making is not precise
but always leads to my sacrifice

dark secrets control my every action
constant fear of society's reaction

but they are mine and mine alone to keep
I must learn to sow what I reap

Karma is a bi*ch its true.
But do we choose the dark
or does it choose you
One thing is for sure
When we cross that line
Thats what we must endure
