Angels Unmasked

Angels Unmasked

A Poem by Kristee

This is the wall where her heart was first broken.
This is where she waits for her ride home.
She counts the cars as they drive by

To drown out the thoughts that cloud her mind.
And for some strange reason she caught his eyes.
There were scars on her wrists and she had
Messy brown hair, but somehow he still saw
An angel in there.
Wiped away tears, mended her heart,
Stopped her from falling back into the dark.
Soon her delicate body regained its strength,
And memories reburied themselves in
Her past's grave.
"Now she is better and again her smile shines,
You're my beautiful angel,"
"And you sir, are mine."

Good. The flow gets stuck once or twice, but still very good.
