Cynthia (Mane's Side)A Chapter by CrimsonShinigamiI have started to hate this plan even more since coming
here. My room is all settled in but I couldn’t help but notice that there is so
many noises coming from the Noctus class’ side of their building. Our side of
the people decided not to talk to anyone since they are all filthy. Even two
girls of our own touched one of them I’ll make them pay I swear I will. I’ll
show my father that they are not even humans. Why accept them to be like us. If
there was a battle let it continue what was the point of peace. With all the rage
in my head I called father immediately. “Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep” “Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep” “….Hello?” “Father
it’s me I have something to ask of you.” “Oh
Cynthia how’s are things over there have you tried talking to the Noctus people
yet.” “No and
I never will.” “Oh
dear this is a problem. They have to be our friends. They are really nice
people on the inside. They are kind natured but if you do something that
disgraces them then I believe the peace treaty will not hold up.” “Why do
we have to be their friends? They are coming into our territory and then what?
They can come can start a war on the inside and that is not going to happen.” “You
are mistaken. They weren’t the ones who started the war. We forced them out of
our city. This is their home too they have the right to stay here. They are
different than us since they started to live in the glades.” “That’s
a lie. If this was their home why on earth were they forced out of it huh? Why
on earth do we have to take such measures on them?” I started pacing around my
room since I could no longer sit on my bed and talk to my father. The answer to
my question my father gave me left me speechless. “Father,
that has to be a lie. There is no way people like them could be like that. If
they were we wouldn’t be alive wouldn’t we?” “Cynthia,
as much as I agree with your statement there are just something that cannot be
explained. They are good people and maybe they want to fight fair and square.” “Father……….” “Cynthia
can you at least report to me what happened in the dorm. I can’t have eyes and
ears everywhere.” “Fine.
Both the Mane and Noctus side put a borderline that divides up the whole
building in half. Though something strange did happen at lunch today.” “Strange
thing you say do tell.” “This
one kid took down the whole border line in the middle where both classes can
converse with each other and started eating there. No matter how many times the
Noctus people tried to drag him back he refused to move. He waited there until
lunch was over.” “Ah, that
is strange indeed but remember not everyone hates the other side some may be
too scared to voice their own opinions. I have to get going hope you have a
nice day at your new school.” With that father hung up and I was so frustrated I let out a
scream and I fell on top of my bed. I seemed to remember the cafeteria incident
so clearly. The boy moving all those tables by himself as everyone glared at
him. His friend going up to him and handing him lunch and when he left. He had
such a sad face waiting for something to happen. I started shaking my head and
decided to right to sleep. Morning
came and I started changing into my new school uniform. I looked myself in the
mirror and the uniform was much more different than the ones we use at the
usual schools. The uniform had a skirt with the patterns of the sun on it. The
sun was white with some red surrounding it and on the outside of the skirt was blue.
The top had a white dress shirt with an emblem that either indicated whether
you were from the Mane class or the Noctus class. When I was finished I exited
my room and my best friend was already waiting for me. “Hey,
Cynthia, did you hear the Noctus class reconstructed their side of the
building. Some people are trying to get some pics of it but so far no luck. It
seems that they put some kind of item that would stop the Mane class from
coming within a 1cm on their side of the building.” “I
don’t care about those Franz let’s just eat breakfast and get on our way to
school.” “All
right all right.” We walked to the cafeteria and it was very noisy. I looked
around to see that the border with the tables have been set up again. I sighed
with some relief and proceeded to go grab some food. About 20 minutes later I
was sitting and eating away with my friend there was still an hour left until
we departed for school. That’s when everyone started whispering and gazing at
one direction. I turned myself to see what was going on. It was the same boy
who was placing the tables back where they were. Some girl on their side tried
to stop him but he just brushed it off and proceeded to dismantle everyone’s
hard work I couldn’t take it anymore. I stood up and walked to the middle where
he was just finished cleaning up the top of the table. “Hey
what are you doing?” He looked at me and I saw a smile trying to show itself
but it disappeared. “I’m getting food got to have something to go on with the
day wouldn’t you say so.” “That’s
not what I mean and you know it.” “I like
sitting here. It feels nice knowing you have a large variety of chairs to pick
without worrying people won’t take it.” He smiled this time which left me
defenseless. “You do know this is the middle right.” “I am
well-aware of that. I am just hoping some people might have the courage to sit
here to if I keep doing this.” That’s when his friend came with the food.
“Here, Seraph, I know you didn’t eat dinner so you better eat all this up.” The
other boy placed down Seraph’s meal in front of him and he responded. “How do
you know I didn’t eat dinner? It’s not like you have some kind of device that
takes photos of what I eat.” “Actually
I have like mostly everyone telling me that you didn’t eat after lunch. You
were too busy helping everyone with the construction.” “It’s
not my fault. They asked me for help and I helped them.” “You
could always say no to them. They’ll understand remember they still do feel bad
of asking you to do their work.” “Still
not my fault. They asked me and I said yes if I say no then it just doesn’t sit
well with me.” “By the
way did you make a friend on the other side this one right there is totally
glaring at you.” He looked at me and then went to eat his food. Seraph answered
him. “Sadly
no. She just came here to lecture me not to sit here since it’s not right.” He
finished his food and just stood up and left. The friend gobbled up all his
food and ran up to him and started chatting away with him. I went back to my
seat and Franz was clapping thinking that I got the person to get out of the
seat. It was
time for school to start and everyone was crowding around the class lists and
the maps. Franz told me that we were in the same class and I was relieved and
she also know where the classroom is so we walked all the way there. When we
got there we weren’t the first ones there. The same people were already in
their seats next to each other. I clicked my tongue and sat in the seat that
was the most furthest away from them. Seraph said something as I was about to
sit down. “There’s
a seating plan sheet that’s on the board if you think that you sit there.” I
looked up and saw the paper and Franz stepped in. “Who
are you to talk to her? I bet you aren’t sitting in your seats either.” “That’s
not possible I checked my seat number and luckily it’s beside these guys.”
Franz scoffs it off as she went to look at the seating arrangements. She glared
at him and then asked. “What
is your name so I can see if you are telling the truth?” “It’s
on the piece of paper isn’t it? There is no need for me to say it.” Franz
looked at the piece of paper once again. “Your
name is Seraph Dehbe then?” The guy friend of his stood up and almost threw
something at her but Seraph stopped her. The friend then shouted. “It’s not
Dehbe, are you trying to make fun of our names. The name is Seraph Diaboli You
better not get it wrong next time.” I heard Franz say barbaric under her breath
and motioned me to our chairs which were right beside them. Franz wasn’t to
happy but I gazed how the friends got angry instead of Seraph himself. He gazed
out the window to the glades where just yesterday they were living there. The
girl that was with them kept hitting the friend that go angry and everyone
started coming into the classrooms. When
classes started the teacher that takes care of us says to prevent any
borderlines between the sides they mixed the seats so no one could do anything
about it and with that the coexistence was all set into place. © 2016 CrimsonShinigamiReviews
