Insanity is everywhere, I see it staring at my mouth.........
Flashes of denial campaign undiscovered in my ears while laughter sounds out like static from a land where words expose their wonder. What lies beneath waves of pleading promises that lie touching my heart like winds of change bring on thunder?
Has my existence flown to find the answers inside of years up on the silent mountaintop that I once called my home? I find that now I live with chaos looking in my windows at every single hollow place it sees when I am sitting all alone.
Insanity is everywhere I see it staring at my mouth as honesty spews on everything I deny to be, while in all of my despair I hear words laughing out at me. I breathe in deep then lift the voice with which I write and wait........ for my pen to bleed.
"Insanity is everywhere
I see it staring at my mouth
as honesty spews on everything
I deny to be,
while in all of my despair
I hear words
laughing out at me."
Sometimes I feel like I am insane with all the thoughts that swirl around in my head. I think one thing but contradict it with another. What seems to be truth is stirred up into my own reality so that I can no longer decipher what is what. This line, among all others in the poem, I can relate to the most. I think everybody feels insane at one point in their life.

It is my sincere pleasure to review your work, Neva.
Insanity do speaks to us.... and they're everywhere in each corners of my mind... it's a twirly, twisting, confusing, puzzling thoughs... it's a good thing that ink is Refillable...
you have an awesome way with words. I can relate and really like "has my exsitence flown to find the answers?" I've felt that way for many years, like an O.B.E. (out of body experince) searching for answers to my ?'s and pain. I really like this writing.Good job.
I'm back after a long time being off this cafe.. still, you're one of my fav writers in here.. only few names i still remember, and one of them is you.
"waves of pleading promises
that lie touching my heart
like winds of change
bring on thunder?"
You never ran out of creative words to say! beautiful!

Thank you Maya Storm. Yes, I do use an immense amount of metaphors in my writing. I will be glad to.. read moreThank you Maya Storm. Yes, I do use an immense amount of metaphors in my writing. I will be glad to explain any of them to anyone who is curious. They actually do have down to earth meanings.
I can see this plain as day: Insanity staring at the mouth waiting for something insane to reciprocate out from it -- as if it just wants (nay, needs) to know that you have come over to the Insane side as well -- little does it expect you to say nothing at all, rather jot it down in poetry, so you've turned the table on Insanity. Then even as everything around you has gone insane, the joke is always on Insanity and you are left unscathed -- yes, the pen is still mightier than the sword! Good insight here... Nicely written.

I guess I fall under " a fellow poet with a troubled mind" as one other commented because I totally relate. However you really put the emotion in the feelings with this!! Excellent.
The danger and the attraction... darkness, chaos, insanity. We know we don't belong there yet we often can't stop ourselves from the slow spiral.
As always, your words short circuit my mind and connect directly to my heart. Sometimes I have to read your works over and over until my mind gets out of my way!
This is a really amazing poem. The way you portrayed everything was phenomenal and just flat out beautiful. I'm glad you sent me the request. Out of the twelve I received I chose yours and I'm damn happy I did so. Thanks for the request and and if you ever need a second opinion, send me another. I'd be glad to help.
