Silence Speaks

Silence speaks loudly...........

Moments full of thoughts
live inside
the spiderwebs running through my mind
they are colder than the brick
of my will.
Like the gates of a carnival
never tell the answer
to their riddles
so my thoughts
walk.........
with no favor of you still.

Vast lengths of my attention
have been ringing through time
and unraveling
into problems with every second
passing by.
Yet,
the silence
I write across these pages
says more about how I feel
than you know
or care........
to recognize.

. ohhhh ... this is a stunning piece of poetry, dear neva ... it's just so moving and soulful ... yet powerful and assertive too ... indeed silence speaks ... and the brevity of this piece conveys the mood of that silence ... "the spiderwebs running through my mind" is my favourite image ...

Silence does speak loudly. Being by myself in an NYC apartment - I can't stand the sound of silence. I think it also has the tendency to make some go crazy with all the empty thoughts that run through our minds.
