Shattering the Mirror to Nowhere

Shattering the Mirror to Nowhere

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Walking the halls pressed against a smile that say’s I am sorry............

"

The wind moves over understanding,
enjoying its time away
from tears,
feels whole again.
Sleep, I am sure, sets sail
with a stranger,
breaks the mold
enveloping your pillow,
takes away pain.

Colors give you a taste of brightness
that eternity goes through
when it blushes
at its own progress.
While forever struggles
with patience
and touches upon fruit,
thought of undressed.

Cold water comes near,
turns round and round
graciousness,
extending the waves
of grace’s touch.
Walking the halls
pressed against a smile
that says I am sorry,
no one notices
quite so much.

Long, long after our experiences
caress the light
we have given time,
they are unfolded,
carried away.
Insistence shatters
the mirror to nowhere,
sends winds of understanding,
my way.

This is such a touching peace of the heart. Somtimes it is beter just to "be" and feel your way and just embrace all aspects arround you, while you feel your own inner breath, and heartbeat, who always guide you.. I loved every word. Neva. I feel your native roots and visions within your poetry ;)

A good illustration of nature that depicts this poem is well-written. The mirror that is always present in our lives may or may not turn out to be the answer. In the end, it is always within us that proves to be the answer. If only we are used to understanding each problems in our lives and solve them in the most probable way, do we understand how to arrive at the answers. You have displayed this well in your poem. Keep writing!

What a light hearted, airy, wonderful, fun piece to read. You have a way of putting your feelings out there. Were some where their emotions on their sleeve, you where yours on paper with a pent to the point. Your words flow effortlessly across page and the reader has no trouble at all making since of what you have to say. Beautifully done Neva...!

Oh Neva. Oh Lady. What have you done? Apart from surpass yourself (again). What have you done? Apart from take ink and paper and shape them into a living, breathing emotion, imbude with life (again). You have captured the idea of humanism and embraced it, anchoring it to the page without binding it. Allowing it freedom, but offering it a place to rest. Within your words. (Again). Damn you're good.

A good journey in your words. Some trips are blocked by road blocks of fear and the willingness to see and to know the truth.
"While forever struggles
with patience
and touches upon fruit,
thought of undressed."
A powerful ending to a outstanding poem.
