Shattering the Mirror to Nowhere

Shattering the Mirror to Nowhere

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Walking the halls pressed against a smile that say’s I am sorry............

"

The wind moves over understanding,
enjoying its time away
from tears,
feels whole again.
Sleep, I am sure, sets sail
with a stranger,
breaks the mold
enveloping your pillow,
takes away pain.

Colors give you a taste of brightness
that eternity goes through
when it blushes
at its own progress.
While forever struggles
with patience
and touches upon fruit,
thought of undressed.

Cold water comes near,
turns round and round
graciousness,
extending the waves
of grace’s touch.
Walking the halls
pressed against a smile
that says I am sorry,
no one notices
quite so much.

Long, long after our experiences
caress the light
we have given time,
they are unfolded,
carried away.
Insistence shatters
the mirror to nowhere,
sends winds of understanding,
my way.

This is such a touching peace of the heart. Somtimes it is beter just to "be" and feel your way and just embrace all aspects arround you, while you feel your own inner breath, and heartbeat, who always guide you.. I loved every word. Neva. I feel your native roots and visions within your poetry ;)

Such beauty- I long for more with each word. The imagery and metaphoric use was brilliant. This was written like a day dream. Well, that's how I would dream at least. You really have a way with words. Each line added to the story, which was a poem, no matter how one takes it.
Lovely, lovely job.

You have a way with metaphors. Your poems are always so majestic and fantastical in nature that its a pleasure to read. Well done.

Some very profound words, especially that ending.

Insistence shatters
the mirror to nowhere,
sends winds of understanding,
my way.

These words really have stirred my mind and has given me something to ponder for a while.

I have been reading your poetry for over a year at least...I see change and even greater depth. Not depth of feeling but as a writer. You have gained the ability to lash the words onto canvas like an expressionist painter.

Like this - Colors give you a taste of brightness
that eternity goes through
when it blushes
at its own progress.

You have the idea in your mind and you trust yourself to let it flow as it may onto the page. Very nice work.

"Shattering a mirror to nowhere" is a title that fits this poem perfectly. It's so wonderful in its colliding visions of shattered glass, each one reflecting a bit of reality spiraling out of control in a person's dreams, only to awaken and have it fade from consciousness because it was too powerful to gaze upon with a sane eye.

Enveloping your pillow takes away pain, sounds so romantic as if inhaling his scent from cologne stained cotton, you always pen such beautiful images from the heart of love and from your own heart. I love the gentleness, keep em' coming
