I Will Be There to See

I Will Be There to See

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I will be in the valley where the sand meets the tree of fire................

"

I will be in the valley
where the sand meets the tree of fire
and walls that close in
do not exist.
My arms have become part of the stars,
when I walk they enfold night
with a web
encircling a kiss.

My heart contains a spirit of love
I obtained from the sea,
when my skies were filled
with all that I know.
I am here in the valley in between time
and the place where the tree of fire
still glows.

Come and take my hand
when your morning is cold,
until all that is left
is how you remember me.
Then, when you look into the glass
where your face was alone,
I will always be there
to see.

Sorry to read to deep but the repeated tree of fire made me think if the burning bush where love received the ultimate test of faith and the valley and the sand also spoke of biblical references the valley of death I will not fear and the footprints in the sand where when you think you walk alone it turns out you were being carried. Love the emotional tug of your words and the gentle sadness it evokes. Beautifully done, keep em' coming

This is a very emotional pull, soft yet constant, always there, as if beeing cought in an undertow. I love the biblical referances even if they are not screaming in your face. Very beautiful Neva.

Your poetry weaves itself into metaphors and ideas that many could not even interpret as anything but beautiful! "My arms have become part oft he stars, when I walk they enfold at night with a web encircling a kiss". So pretty Neva
