Yesterday's Hours Lie Unread

Yesterday's Hours Lie Unread

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Questioning tomorrow before discovering yesterday’s hours still lie unread........

"

That I might sit

by the window waiting to live
all my days
on the edge of this
I write.
Within the quality of a voice
falling on every word
I hear in my heart,
full of colorful passion and light.

By me, many things
still breathe
encircling to rise inside
meanings I find
when waking,
bringing tears of joyful destiny.
Their beauty reveals who I am
in blissful shades
of ink-filled ecstasy.

These true feelings run deep
waves sweetly falling
from the hands
of my muse.
This I have always known.
Reflecting sudden stirrings
of my mood in winds
that move these hands
of my own.

Should I become something new
perhaps a silent beauty
sitting here
mulling words over in her head.
Questioning tomorrow
before discovering
yesterday’s hours still lie
unread.

I've read your requests and this poem stands out. It moves as gentle as the soul who penned it. I feel its sway as it enters my mind, soothing the heart within me. Your poetry is beautiful and I love to find your words cascading over my soul. Its like your spirit wipes away the tears on my face relieving the pains of a tired life.

Such a wonderful feeling of tranquility washed over me after reading this. You are Picaso when it comes to bringing pictures to life.

Questioning tomorrow/before discovering/yesterday’s hours still lie/unread.

Like skipping to the end of the book only to ruin the beautiful story that creates the end....

Exquisite!

This reminds me of slowly shifting sand .. glistening and golden, Neva. And yes, can understand how you stay in one place still not quite fulfilled yet wondering what's ahead. ' Reflecting sudden stirrings ~ of my mood in winds ~ that move these hands .. '

You write in a gentle traditional style here but same time have a tendency to go from quiet conformity to adventuring, an exciting mix, quite fascinating!

Ah...the simple solitude of private moments of thought
recorded on the page. Getting in touch with our inner
muse to transpose our inner feeling, desires and
experiences. Nicely penned!
