Untying the Bonds From Our Wings

Untying the Bonds From Our Wings

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

When our fingers move through fire to untie the bonds from our wings so we can become the form of everything..............

"

Is not comfort expressed
in what we look for everyday?
When our fingers move through fire
to untie the bonds from our wings
so we can become the form
of everything.

When old thoughts are found on pages
containing imaginary stairs
do we find that our eyes lie to us
about worlds we will find there?
Or do we just like those new beginnings
where all is well and fair?

Each day I tell you that I am not the one
who in time will disappear.
Yes, inside I move eagerly towards trust
and forwards I dive full into the sky.
But here with you,
I find to be most dear.

Night and day we climb hills to see the sun
and all its possibilities.
Yet we never blink an eye or stare
at the dreams visible to us all.
Perhaps, we are afraid to open the door
to our own imagination’s call.

It is rare to find a partner in life who understands that imagination both frees the spirit and opens up new doors, new realities. This includes inner adaptations, and outer reformations.

In the infinite Now of the Heart, all goodness arises, and that is the Source of your beautiful rumination.

Third stanza should yes be yet?

Love the fear not the flames to release the bonds from wings that will free us idea, words figuratively lieing to us a strange yet deeply puzzling thought for how easily some believe what they read in black and White without questioning the evidence. Beautiful poem and use of imagery. Keep em' coming

I think even with our eyes open we sometimes can't see what is clearly in the forefront. So we end up missing out. Very well expressed!

No one and nothing holds us back more than we ourselves do, so very very true. Your writing flows so smoothly, i like that, and there is so much emotion expressed in every line. Brilliant, just brilliant

an interesting view of how we ourselves tie our own wings...the imagination of the mind is where the escape can take us to those dreams and creations we look for... nice work Neva...

Just lyrically sweet, like every word and verse and stanza you write.
