Crashing Over Understanding

Crashing Over Understanding

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

No one gets tangled in an answer that pleases their heart..........

"

Crashing over understanding that spreads images with an open hand
Looking through frightened eyes that fate has up and tasted
The tenderness that teases is felt in the weeping wind
But only for those waiting lips not yet painted

What if we knew in our hearts that what remains wrapped around us
Is living within the warmth of our skin as a voice that plays
Those audible choices that live to quicken our senses
And rise up to us now in an endless gaze

Impossibilities come by in the distance, holding out greedy fingers
As instruments that would fall in love with a heart of stone
And the catch of the day, is whatever can be done
With a misguided love, one never owns

Yet no one gets tangled in an answer that pleases their heart
It does not really help if you offer your voice of dissent
Their own understanding is all they can ever see
Leave them be, perhaps it was meant

Before I can even read a word I have to comment on the compelling image..."Incredible!"
"Yet no one gets tangled in an answer that pleases their heart
It does not really help if you offer your voice of dissent
Their own understanding is all they can ever see
Leave them be, perhaps it was meant."
This is profound and leaves me with chill bumps all over...Truth is sublime.

Amazing. I felt so drawn while I was reading this. The impact of this poem will stay with me for quite some time. Some times some things have to be left as they are. I love the flow and the words you use. Such immense talent, pleasure to read.

Wow! I really love how this pic jumps out at you.
A great insight to what once was and never will be again.
Love this part:

"Impossibilities come by in the distance, holding out greedy fingers
As instruments that would fall in love with a heart of stone
And the catch of the day".

In a lot of ways this sounds like how our government acts right now, (especially the republicans) Especially the last stanza, but we can't always leave them be, we sometimes have to open their eyes and their hearts to understand what they refuse to see.

Another excellent write. It seems as if your writings of late has been following a pattern and this one reads like it may be then end. If so this is an epic finish. Love the photo as well XD
