Tasting Peace as Flowers

Tasting Peace as Flowers

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

In hope tomorrow's arms will be a saving reservoir.................

"

Surely now the clouds are reaching up to angelic prayers
For an alibi that will return their peaceful grace
In hope tomorrow's arms will be a saving reservoir
To reverse all the battles fought in this place

The layers of heaven remember echoes of glorious love
In streaming colors which cannot be erased
Even as clouds were weeping with every heartbeat
For precious moments not to be replaced

If reaching clouds peered inside the golden rays of sun
For sweet words to warm tomorrow's hours
Would hearts made of stone awaken beating soft
To taste peaceful dew of grace as flowers

Surely now the clouds are reaching up in appreciation
For sanctuary found in the arms of reprieve
Perhaps if we too reach inside golden rays of sun
This coldness in our hearts, would leave

A warmth and a hopeful feel to the final stanza caps off a soulful, prayerful write. Really like "Would hearts of stone awaken beating soft/To taste peaceful dew of grace as flowers". I would die a happy bear if I could see with your poetic vision for one day of my life, Neva.

This defies the idea of writer's block Neva. I sometimes do exactly as you appear to have done here ... opened your mind and got the words out. I particularly like the final stanza.
