Can this serenity save me from dying as just a voice....................
Can this serenity save me from dying as just a voice When I am drawn to fly away, my friend If I begin to live outside of this remoteness of mine Will I ever see the same sunset again
My heart orbits this serenity confidently in possession Of the wondrous hope tranquility brings Yet my mind’s inclination is to leave these seas To seek the wild winds with my wings
I find such intrigue in not moving, this stillness is me Becoming an extension of the air I breathe Yet in this place, I find my heart is not palpable It needs more than my voice, and me
Before my eyes I know there is joy that waits for me Outside of this serenity I call being alone One day the inclination will come for me to fly You will knock and I will be home
"Yet my mind’s inclination is to leave these seas
To seek the wild winds with my wings"
My favorite line. The whole poem is beautiful, but I find myself completely understanding what you are trying to say with just those two line. Nicely done!
This is a beautiful poem, and I am intrigued to find out about the process used to write it. "My heart orbits this serenity confidently in possession
Of the wondrous hope tranquility brings," knocked this one out of the park for me!
Really like the whole of the second stanza; it has the scope of vision I've become accustomed to reading in your work, and carries a depth of meaning for me. Wonderful piece from a homework assignment, Neva ;)
A very descriptive and moving poem. I can feel the serenity and distinct feel of beauty.
"My heart orbits this serenity confidently in possession
Of the wondrous hope tranquility brings"
Beautiful write :)
