Whisper to Me - Remarkable Words

Whisper to Me - Remarkable Words

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I want to still hear your voice echoing against my skin................

"

Come whisper to me, remarkable words

When evening cascades to a sigh
I want to still hear your voice
Echoing against my skin
After I kiss you
Goodnight

Encircle my world with the sound of your thunder
Listen to my pulse throb as it resounds
You can measure each beat
Matched with your own
In the way you make
My heart pound

Place your hands on the small of my back once more
Leave me with your calm and serene air
So tonight when I lie down alone
And close these eyes
I can still feel
You there

I like this poem, I like the descending structure of each stanza, every line by at most two words than the last line. The message of love resonates on two levels for me, the passion for the mate in our lives and the passion of the subject we love (for me that is mathematics, hence why I love the structuring). Resonant on the deep.

This one is gorgeous! The depth of it moves through the whole piece, and the way the woman remembers her lover (if I'm interpreting it correctly) is perfect in its subtlety. The beauty of this poem is restrained--like a rose that gets more beautiful every time you look at it. I wish I could comment well on relationship/romance stuff, but romance has never come easy for me--but this poem is still beautiful. Nice work!

With words such as yours love, I truly would think they would linger long after sleep has lulled! Beautiful, as ever! xx

first...the picture is magnificent...it goes perfectly with the poem!
then, the poem's regular pattern makes it smooth to read and the flow reminds me of a silent night where the loved one is there...
the feelings are almost tangible...which is wow!
