I am the next full moon and I have chosen you....................
I am the next full moon and I have chosen you To dwell on high with me While all the world sighs below our view The atmosphere will glow in kind When our faces here It sees
The earth will sleep leaving all in our care While we count slowly to ten Laughing as clouds pass by in our air Seeking to hide our eternal glow Chased over rambling hills By a fickle wind
You are the next new star in heaven’s skies I have now chosen you To be the foundation on which I glide I will wrap you in silver feelings Until you become the sun And say adieu
This has to be my favorite because I love the moon.. We are in a Full moon phase right now.. I always lay in bed with the curtains open and hope it's light fills me up for one more month.. :) This blends the energy of the night with day perfectly.. xx
"You are the next new star in heaven’s skies
I have now chosen you
To be the foundation on which I glide
I will wrap you in silver feelings
Until you become the sun
And say adieu"
That's my favorite! This is so romantic, and has an excellent ending. It's so smooth and alluring. Great poem
What a romantic poem. To me a sweet kiss shared under the moonlight is ridiculously romantic. Neva, I truly loved this...and you continue to stun me by your talent!
stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. i love anything about the moon, so you have touched my soul. perfect resonance and form, delivered flawlessly and with great imagery. brilliant write!
There are so many visual delights from which to choose in this inspired work, but if asked to pick a favorite, it would have to be from the vantage point of my friend, the moonlight:
"I will wrap you in silver feelings
Until you become the sun"
You have penned many beautiful poems, I have read some that touch deep, though I have read only a few, but this sings strong and holds me rapt perhaps more than any other. "Moonlight becomes you."
