Collecting Rain In the Low Light

Collecting Rain In the Low Light

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Each measure is divided by a heartbeat..............

"

So many days she waited in the low light collecting rain

That by itself represented what you could not see
Changing the world of distant shadows
With fingers that have written
Threads of destiny

Feelings were the price she paid as she diffused the rain
Upon the leaves with love that sought the sun
From those woodlands of her dreams
Where a raging fire in her soul
Only just begun

She rode the waves of living light that flowed to shine
With no expectation that she would be admired
Knowing she was a just a kiss of worship
Who carried her fleeting mist
In her heart’s desire

A song of meditation now lies where she once stood
Collecting rain there in the low light so patiently
Each measure is divided by a heartbeat
And is rewritten every day
As our destiny

What I found intriguing was the footnote to these beautiful words... " Finding hope and optimism once again...."

yet these words

"Feelings were the price she paid as she diffused the rain
Upon the leaves with love that sought the sun"

It's like she is drawing it all to divest outside herself, she can't use it but others can...

And then...

"She rode the waves of living light that flowed to shine
With no expectation that she would be admired"

Still she is waiting, anticipating....

Until the end, then it all makes sense

Beautiful Neva, stunning beyond belief! This left me with that small catch in my breath, you know, when you've continued to breath in and in and then you can finally let it go...

"Feelings were the price she paid as she diffused the rain"

This is a terrible consolation prize that of which most of us are handed.

Such a stirring image then to read the words which fit together so beautifully with it, well it is refreshing. Breathing light and life into me with, "Changing the world of distant shadows With fingers that have written Threads of destiny"

I feel somehow lighter with you as I process the thoughtful and hopeful line, "A song of meditation now lies where she once stood Collecting rain there in the low light so patiently" I am so happy you have found hope and optimisim once again for now you hold the lantern lighting the way for me. Just beautiful!

To be a channel of peace and destiny, one must truly be open to it all. Well and beautifully said by one of the gentlest and most trustworthy channels I know.
