You ask about this barren desert that you find me walking in Where the strings of my heart Are drawn so tight That I cannot breathe or seem To part
You wonder if there is more to life than these cracks I see Or the dust flowing through my hands And what can be done With this need I find I have To run
Yes, sometimes I wonder if there are hills that glow with light Where I know that I can still stand and sing About my endless hope And the joy I know that life Can bring
Do not worry yourself about the place you find me in Though I know it sings aloud to you Soon a glorious mist will come To drench this void and chase away My blues
A thoughtful and deeply conveyed poem. I felt that this was both beautiful and touching. I enjoyed reading this, and it also gave me hope. Great write as always :)
neva- i get this. the concern in this is touching- of friends for you, and you for them. beautifully done. dark, of course- as life sometimes is. but not without hope. echoing Lily's words- a beautiful friendship.
oh Neva..first the title is absolutely beautiful and hopeful...this piece like many of your others reads as a song...and your words blend with emotion so well...one of my favorite of yours...stunning writing...
Great last stanza! I love this so much! Such a great dedication. I, for one, can definitely say that I am glad I came to this site because I have gotten great insight and made some great acquaintances :) You have portrayed that so well.
