Acceptance Is a Difficult Thought

Acceptance Is a Difficult Thought

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Fact is, there are times I yield to emotion.........

"

In all of the directions of what you want to tell me

Comes anything that looks better in motion
Although I am torn by the reasons
I try hard to project
Fact is, there are moments I yield to emotion

I can relax out of earshot of any kind of danger
That does not scatter or burn anyone else
Yet I am not meaning to remember
Why all the hours acknowledge
What I don’t know, ‘cause I won’t tell myself

Acceptance, my sweetheart is a difficult thought
Believe me; I know what has to be done
While held under the watchful eye
Of the hand tightly holding
Love’s gun

"Believe me; I know what has to be done While held under the watchful eye Of the hand tightly holding Love's gun." It's like you know exactly what you should do, exactly what needs to happen, and you are coming to terms with the fact that you cannot be ignorant to the fact that you MUST move forward. I think many of us feel this way sometimes, but we don't always want to believe it. I'm glad you wrote this, because there is a small part of myself that I saw in this poem.

Acceptance, indeed, is a difficult thought. Let alone something that's 'easy' to put into action.
Spoken with truth, this poem i like.! :)

one can see you have felt the sting of pain and memories...to move beyond the hurt and pain is to find thy true self...
