I cannot help but wish to be cradled in your hours.............
Softly breathe upon these miles between you and I
Where they will not continue to seem so far
Let them fall by the wayside
So that I am able to look into your eyes
No matter where we are
I cannot help but wish to be cradled in your hours
To be ever listening to your heartbeat
A sound quieting my own
Filling my world with precious showers
'Tis when I feel complete
Until the moment comes when you softly breathe
Upon these miles between you and me
Here I will be, by the wayside
Until your breath shows the way that leads
To erase all these miles I see
Softly breathe upon these miles between you and I
Until they no longer continue to exist
Let them fall by the wayside
So that I am able to look into your eyes
And be cradled in your kiss
I can't wait to show my dearest friend this poem.. Miles separate us and yet I feel like we've been the dearest of friends for a lifetime.. You again have penned this longing, want and need for the distance to vanish..into each others embrace:) xx Love it..x
Distance is a true limitation on the giving and receiving of devotion; though the miles might not be insurmountable, they form a true chasm of emptiness. Nearness makes up for that when once again it is a reality.
"Softly breathe upon these miles between you and I" should be you and me. I don't know if this was done on purpose because in other lines it is correct...
Either way, this is a very meaningful poem to those who have a long-distance relationship with a dear friend. It just shows absence makes the heart grow fonder :)
It isn't the distance it is the time between being cradled and being in wait. Your poems on distance and waiting on love always shows patients and commitment where not even time or distance can make love fail instead it grows with desire and belief that one day they will be reunited. Lovely write by you
Distance has no bearing on this poem nor the true connection between true lovers and friends. Once again another well written poem. And I also love the pictures that go with each poem. They all seem to capture the essence of the poem.
