A silent secret is deadly and we hold them always close to our hearts, but if given a choice to embrace them or to embrace life what would people chose? To have that desire to live that you wrote more eloquently than I do here, is letting go of the past and embracing the unknown with convictions. Your words are always beautiful and your images rich with an underlying meaning that teaches us how to be humans first.
amazingly revealing and yet secretive in one master stroke. profoundly intimate and
personal, while being openly direct and revealing. beautifully done!
sweetly scented ....almost a contradiction and yet it incorporates secrets and how one is questioning the very intimacy of it all...and in the end it all seems to ride within the sunset...nice work Neva...
Very beautiful and such strong diction. I especially like the lines,
"I need you to guide me
to the west of your kiss or lead me
to the end
of what is left to tell."
Great write!!! :D:D:D:D
I like your imagery a lot in this piece a lot. You pose a very deep philosophical question about life and death and it is definitely interesting! Nice write!
This is another great read Neva. I agree with SpokenWord that our deepest, most silent secrets are always the most dangerous in any situation. And this poem expresses that we sometimes have to let them go to be able to live a happy life. Great job!
Yeah, that was pretty stunning. I really enjoyed the loose allusions and the witty way of double entendres you run through this. That being said, it went a little over my head, but at least I'm honest! Great read.
Will we mourn the loss of smiles
or be strengthened by tears
that heartache lights up
when we bleed.
We must let the pain we share be a building block to strengthening our relationship... such brilliant lines in such a beautiful poem of undeniable love.
