Dew of Quiet in the Garden

Dew of Quiet in the Garden

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

You give my soul thoughts that collide with magical lands of the moon.....

"

You give my soul thoughts that collide with magical lands of the moon
And follow songs with an urge to be a cloud in your sky
Rushing along unbound head over heels
With a spirit that grows
Like a flower of past times, until I long for you now
To be the dew of quiet in the gardens
Where I roam

My eyes light to meet yours again as fate melts into a substance
That penetrates the delivery of my own destiny
Then you gently take me to drink
From the ground I kiss
As if I am a bottomless sea that lives for all ages
Sent to make you know you are loved
When morning comes

You give my soul thoughts that are ever speaking as tears of joy
They are guarded by breezes in the palest moonlight
I know that when I take my last breath
Into your arms of love I will fly
To sweetly surrender my own song you discovered
As the dew of quiet in the gardens
Where I roam

This is ancient balladeering; obviously, predates Shakespear, by a lot.
I'd love to know, Neva, who it is you're singing to. Seems more like a god than a man.
Still, while this work appears to be purposely woven to approach concepts with a roundabout flourish, it manages to convey so very much, in an undeniably endearing way. Neva's way.

I can totally sense the dreamlike state here. Like many of my dreams I can make sense of them at some spiritual level, but articulation is not available. It's funny, the more I try to explain, the less it makes sense.

Neva, this is so gentle and soothing ... just beautiful.
Your dreams are beautiful and the first line
"You give my soul thoughts that collide with magical lands of the moon"- it is wonderful... love this poem ...
