Until I Felt the Breezes Without You

Love was not enough
as I sipped on the only reason
I could hear from your kiss
although it was dressed the same
as an angry sea.

Still, I was unable to let go
because I so enjoyed
those images
that spun in beauty
before my sighs.

Lost moments recollected
I had speak out
in their smoothness
even if they were only
fantasies.  

Such as the ones
taken out of the box
I will forever
just call
yours and mine.

No love was not enough
Until I allowed myself to feel the sky
and its playful breezes
upon my skin
alone
without you

I feel we also don't recognize love once we have it, it is hard to separate the reality of it from the fantasy in our minds of how love should look and feel to us. Once we feel we have lost it we often appreciate it much more. Love is an interesting subject for me some days I am all pro love and other days I think it is a curse or punishment. Your poem makes me see it as a blessing.
