You said you could climb the peaks of life to awaken pain..............
You said you could climb the peaks of life to awaken pain Even as flashes of madness called you their own Understandably, I still loved your careless flaming heart With a watchful face which recalls taking hold Of your broken chains
You told me the sky hurled heroes upon your summons Though I know, you still claimed visions shared So I came and went until you were pleased to let me Sing the tune of the tongues of angels To your warrior heart
Beyond the start of centuries stroking cloudy shores Better than a silent idea you let be sought Lies the voice of courage clinging to those ideals You sustained when you named fear As no such thing
But you never told me that sometimes it rains on love Or how often you hide when it comes a flood So when the quiet came I thought you didn’t care I decided to climb the peaks of life myself To sing pain back to sleep
Oh, Neva...the clarity of your singing here is superb! This may become my favorite of what I have read of yours. The consistency of vision from start to finish, the impeccable images...this write caught me completely in its grip. Thank you for sharing your gift of this poem.
Beautiful! Simply beautifully crafted love, this is amazing poetry! The subtle tone to it adds power too. The intensity of pain, sometimes needs to be explored through words, lest it engulfs!
Excellent piece!

a beautifully tender~healing inspirational for self~you took such care to balance both characters equally~ not placing blame~ but simply stating what is in beautifully drawn poetic notes~
It is up to us to do the climbing, isn't it? I know that looking back on life there has been a lot of times when I was carried by those who love me, but to really overcome we must find the strength to climb on our own, taking turns caring each other...
Such a profoundly moving poem. Worth spending lots of time with this one. I feel it has so many layers to it and yet, it is so clear: the voice and quality are so consistent.
So I came and went until you were pleased to let me
Sing the tune of the tongues of angels
To your warrior heart
Lies the voice of courage clinging to those ideals
You sustained when you named fear
As no such thing
Neva! Your words make me feel so much! I love the those two sentences the most, but it was difficult to say! Because seriously, your words move! It is funny how someone can say so much and keep the real meaningful stuff out! Wonderful!
This is really amazing. No one can write inspirational poems like you.You are an incomparable queen of the poetic kingdom.I can't even come to your corridors.I just watch you in my imagination.

Absolutely loved the last line, "I decided to climb the peaks of life myself To sing pain back to sleep". Pretty much story of my life right there. I feel like every line in your poems is just packed with metaphors and imagery that is captivating...
