Who Are You Anyway

Who Are You Anyway

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

You slipped through the darkness of my unwilling emotions.............

"

Warm winds dancing in your calm replies, leave kisses of seduction
On every single second that follows horizontally
Silken forms of happiness lie hidden in complete adoration
Then spring to proudly sing your name
Across these fields of me

Slight glances meet a full reflection between low murmurs of us
Yet I cannot help but ask how you got so close
You slipped through the darkness of my unwilling emotions
Now I am haunted by the passion
Of love’s fiery ghost

My heart feels each step your warm winds make in calm replies
Yet still I cannot help but ask who are you anyway
To make one look around on the shelves of their own soul
To find words that rhyme to touch your own
Left as kisses on each page

something primeval stirs inside when the right chord is struck...sleeping deep in the frozen ground where it was long buried...like a sun that shone deep into my soul and thawed...a memory lay there comatose...this poem reached across a void and touched...something, and awakened me...

. . . Warm winds dancing in your calm replies, leave kisses of seduction - where do you find these lines that more than kick start this poem. Fave line: You slipped through the darkness of my unwilling emotions

Isn't it something when someone still finds a way to get close to us even when we put up our best defenses. I love the picture you paint an element of surprise and an element of joy all mixed into one.

Words can touch us deeply, like secret glances they secretly give us the most beautiful of thoughts. Excellent as always my friend.
