I glimpse your eyes staring at the shadows in my soul Seeking to calm the wildly rushing storm Keeping my heart out of control Unable to keep The beat Pulsating whole
I stare into eyes seeking to calm the storms To make my heart their own Leaving chambers once cold now warm My heart begins to pulsate To the beat Of a song, its always known
Buried longings softly rush, to be finally freed From this heart out of control Once a half now pulsates complete Your eyes chase shadows Calming storms, My heart Returns to whole
This is lovely writing,, melodious and touching in its simple expression of unaffected love... The clever structure of each verse enabled the writing to have strength and control - maybe fitting for a poem with control as its theme...but enabling the central image of calming and freeing the storm of feeings to work so well...
I'm sorry I'm analysing... I see from your Author's note that you are more interested to know if such writing touches the soul.... It does.
Almost reads like a song a travalling minstral wound have sung with his lyre or mandolin. The natural flow and gentleness of the piece is wonderful as it comes full circle leaving you whole for is this not what one wishes for from love and life to be made whole. Loved it, keep em' coming
Lady... you take a november morning, frost on the ground and frostbite in my feet and make it warm. Beautifuly written and with such melody that it lifts my soul on your song. Captivating and sublime
Ain't easy to find peace and a complete heart. Always a piece is left somewhere. The heart become tattoos with memories and stories. I believe in the end. We learn what we really need. I like the strong language and powerful statements in this poem.
"Buried longings softly rush, to be finally freed
From this heart out of control"
Amazing words and story made this poem a pleasure to read. A excellent poem. Thank you.
