Flight of Release

Flight of Release

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

A brush of the warmest fingertips ignites the burning flame

"
A brush of the warmest fingertips ignites the burning flame
Existing in the sheets of the forbidden reaches
Quickly captivating all the fragile seeds of the perfect gathering
While providing them with the sweetest flight of release

Inimitable reflections surround the purest form of yielding
Sufficiently opening the most tender bloom
Such a majestic revelation unassuming in its glow
Sweetly fills the untouched air with its perfume

The forbidden reaches eagerly consume the warmest touch
Oblivious to their state of vulnerability
Entrusting all their fragility to the burning flame
Glowing in the sweetest flight of release

Knowing when to extend and retract within a poem is an art and I think you demonstrate that value perfectly. Each word carries a flare and passion that appeals to me greatly and also deserves another place in my libary. I feel like I am inspired in my descriptive writing which I think is great. I'm giving this another hundred.

I loved the way this worked gently and intensely at a second level... It seemed to encapsulate the act of love with sensitivity and beauty, tender blooms opening, seeds released in the burning flame...

So much is said, and yet so much is mysterious. A poem that can construct an edifice of sensation in the memory of our imaginations.
