Repaired With Gold

Repaired With Gold

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Does one become more beautiful after being broken?

"

Does one become more beautiful

after being broken?

Could they be repaired with gold

until their heart and mind

are no longer numb?

Will the harsh voices

that caused each crack

disappear............

into a billion pieces

as if never spoken?

If so,

please paint each crack in my heart

and stop.......

where this pain flows from.

i love the last three lines Neva...

and yes, i think broken can be beautiful...vulnerable meets vulnerable and together they show great power...

we learn from our mistakes...we grow, we become better people...but i don't think gold will do it...love might...but gold will only be a temporary fix.

lots of guts in this poem, Neva.

Lovely poem. Great concept and good execution. Liked this a lot. And I think there is some truth to this. Breaks that are repaired make us grow as people. Fixed is better than new.

Excellent write, Neva.

I am right now sitting here in complete awe. This poem is a very beautiful piece of art.
And the definition of kintsukuroi has my mind racing in many directions. I know look forward to mending some things in my life.

Pure poetry. Raising deep personal questions from an insight based upon the physical external world.
Pure poetry.
All best

I like the idea of human kintsukuroi but I dont get a clear enough image of this as I'd like to. I think you could go a step beyond the anesthetic properties.
