Some of the feelings this poem evokes in me are uncomfortable. The track of our lives teaches us and scars us in turn. How many of the scars of the people close to us can we take on....how willing are we to share the burden of them? This poem provokes and prods the conscience. P.
A long time ago, I could not understand,
how to have the will
to let things go.
Now I’ve learned to let that winding road
display what I did not know......
i loved these lines & pic. as well indeed, well written.

You're welcome, Neva :-''), loved your this writing much indeed.
I live my life doing this, called by God to minister to the needs of those less fortunate. The indwelling Spirit grieves for the pain of others...it is very hard to actually feel this pain, literally. It is inherent in those that are Holy Spirit filled. As I know you are Neva...God bless you and well done my friend...=)
Beautifully expressed empathy for another. It can be heart wrenching to see a friend go through so much that you want to reach in a pull all the hurt away. It is a way we that feel so much like to think we can lessen the burden on those we care for so deeply. Sometimes we too can get lost in the sorrow. Such a gentle heart you have, Neva. It shines brightly in this eloquent write. :)
Neva, however empathic we are, it takes immense effort to step into another person's shoes.. it's the hardest thing to do. Here though, in your very beautifully expressed poem, you've shown how it is to be understanding, sympathetic .. yet, still find a way of being and giving even more of whoever and whatever's needed.
' I forgot to take a place inside their skin , ~ feel the truth of their hurt.' - the most difficult of tasks, but one you'd complete.
