When one skates to the stars with feet called to wait on the sunrise............
When one skates to the stars with feet called to wait on the sunrise, it is said their hearts are hungry for the dreams full of love to return again. The taste of this hunger travels with them into the darkness full of stars and stirs every sunset they see in their domain.
Sometimes this makes one feel like running away to erase the past and all pleasures which made them feel complete each and every morning. Still, they know, love will continue as part of those dreams. So they skate to the stars, to see what a new sunset brings.
Just wanted to write something new to bring the new year in.

I do love the connection in this, as you make visual the universe, and bond it to love.
That is very special. I find it very zen too, as days and nights, return, and all in the universe turns around, and around for ages.... it's a perfect life's pattern, and you penned it so wonderous. Thank you sweet soul sister.

This was a soulful and beautiful write, thank YOU dear x
I feel so small, yet can hold the moon, stars, and sky in my gaze,as you blow life into a new year, slip the anchors ,set the main, run up a spinnaker, this boat is silver smooth liquid in the sky's edge, spooling a holy grace into the night.
Hi Neva, liked it a lot very ethereal and hopeful while melancholy at the same moment. A mix of emotions portrayed well in words. One small suggestion; 8th line first stanza ,into the darkness full of stars, repeats stars again and I was thinking about something such as 'into the deep celestial void'

thank you John for your review and your suggestions ):
It is a difficult journey to make but so worth it. It does make you want to run away sometimes. Better to face those stars and welcome them with all your heart, I think.
Lovely words, Neva. Wishing you a happy new year, my friend.
I'm afraid I never learned to skate. I did ride a board. Skateboarding to the stars would sound like a gameshow featuring Tony Hawk and Ray Romano...(laughing) I do know the feeling here...the hungry heart (everybody's got a hungry heart)...well, at least according to Springsteen. But I'd never want to erase the past...too many good memories and I haven't time left to fill the void it would leave behind I'm afraid. I don't expect love to find me in the morning sun either...just happy to wake up in the dawn. I enjoyed the read Neva. I'd say you brought in the New Year sweetly pirouetting on the ice through the stars...
This is dreamy Neva, I love the premise of it, perfect for the new year. Reminds me of Jiminy Cricket singing When You Wish Upon a Star, I could hear it in the background playing in my ear.
This would be a most pleasant way to bring things in for a new start learning and letting go not forgetting but more letting the darkest of things go to the past in its own darkness saying goodbye. This is a very nice read here as always keep writing fellow writer. For with this you brought in the new leaving the old as just a shell of what i once was only a space full of memories nothing more.
