I truly thought I had found myself in a wondrous place where you could truly see me, and that all my words were forever immortalized. Held close....... inside of your everything, soft......as a breeze.
I laughed as you stared into my eyes, asking my name. With my heart in your hands and the moonlight at your beck and call. Then......watching you walk away, I smiled....... even though I realized you never knew me at all.
like love at first sight so to speak falling for someone on sight as you first speak to them in a state of lost for love snapping back to reality seeing the things between you such as love and time shared was only a sense of inner thinking in ones self for he don't even know you to love you. as always keep writing fellow writer
sometimes the fantasy is better than the real thing...imagining what someone is thinking of us as we look at him or her...yes, better.
love in theory, perhaps better than love in reality...
hard to get hurt that way...and as we get older and experience so many relationships..i think we deflect others knowing us...distance being safer.
i like the "i smiled" line...
we know, they don't ...but we know.
they may have our heart in their hands for a moment...but we take it back, unscathed, before there is a chance for it to be crushed.
i like the honesty of this write...it slaps us in the face...sometimes straightforward is the best path...it is here.
