Blank Canvas

Blank Canvas

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I am a canvas for your imagination you can paint me as you will.........

"

I am a canvas for your imagination
You can paint me as you will
Use any color or variation
Paint me like you feel

Choose from your many brushes
Any style you like will do
Paint me as you please
I'll be a picture for you

Mix and match your palette of colors
Choose what you like best
Paint me like you feel
With splendid strokes of zest

You can display me for your pleasure
Hang me upon your wall
Frame me as your treasure
You are proud to show to all

this oozes of trust...it wrings throughout the piece.
she trusts the artist, the man, to paint her as he sees fit. But the suggestion is that he will paint her with respect and love, and display the paintings with the pride that she and he are one.

Such moving magic and metaphors... all the colors of the world alive in you... How beauty is held in the eyes of the beholder... stroke by stroke...

Thank you Craig :)
Very nice I had to laugh in the final analogy as i read the 2nd and 4th line Because the southern drawl was so evident
I could hear it as it went. In the south will" sounds Like "Wheel"
A delightful romp of your mind and written in a language I understand

Beautifully done. I like the concept that we are all painters of our own perceptions, and how we see the same things differently. Great job,and very thought provoking.

Beautiful description of the desire of the canvas. I like the feel of opportunity to choose color and design. I like the ending. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

allowing someone to mold you? That's what I got out of this one. molding is one thing, but controlling is unacceptable. Maybe I misunderstood your poem. I do like it,very well written.
