truth lies on the ground where clear-voiced flowers sing the music of Mozart inside an hourglass safe from harm.....
Often a joining of eyes can be seen
underneath the moonlight,
drowning all your words
like a wave
that has crashed
on love's own ground.
Perception glances
off a fiery silence
until you ever so gently
slip outside of your skin,
surrender is found.
When you try and touch
that which you love,
sometimes empty wishes
are dropped on the coldest coast
until, you look around
see their sinking sand.
You dream of a home far away
find you are torn between the years,
with trembling fingertips
on your hands.
Can you remember the mystery
of the words “I love you”
when they are written
to someone who truly sees
how much you miss them?
Or do you find you are waiting
as a child
for something that comes only
when you sit alone
words pouring from your pen?
We were born on a day
when darkness got lost
while life opened up
spilled the glory of grace
into our spirits,
cradling us in its arms.
Here we discovered
truth lies on the ground
where clear-voiced flowers
sing the music of Mozart
inside an hourglass
safe from harm.
A joining of eyes can often be seen
underneath the moonlight,
two hearts that have traveled far
find a comforting silence
on love's own ground.
My eyes found yours
underneath the moonlight,
come into my arms
and find......
where surrender is found.
Only one who has experienced drowning in the look of love can write as eloquently as this. Indeed it is an overwhelming consuming passion that takes one to a glimpse of eternity and the flight to horizons beyond what the mind can perceive. Beautifully crafted love poem.
This might possibly be one of my favorite poems by you....so eloquently written and soul-stirring, your writing has a beauty that lingers. Exceptionally well-written, thank you for sharing.
Ahh sweety this touches my heart on so many levels. Let see where to start. On distant shore yep know that. Something that may never but still "somewhere I love you". That is a poem I wrote about you could completely love some if you would allow yourself and then the last stanza saying come to me amd find surrender felt that too. I have a magnetic pull towards someone on e a distant shore but won't allow myself to get completely sucked in for it may never be and I lost myself.with someone else once before. Oh I know this too well my friend.
There aren't enough adjectives to describe the grace and profound beauty that engulphed me as I read this, so I won't attempt to do so.
So many portions of this stand out, but, like a puzzle, it is the whole of their individual pieces that create a fascinating and soulful portrait.
Amazing...
Neva another beautiful, touching, and excellent write. I was starting to miss your writing I haven't seen any in a while. But this was a great write like always. As always you have left me speechless with the content and feelings of questioning and yearning in the poem.

Favorite stanza in the poem though I loved it all. Great write.
