ShadowsA Story by ChanéJust an idea and feeling I had.. Call it a quote if you'd like ",
"Judging a book by it's cover" is overrated, almost a cliché. We need to start saying, "Judging a person by their shadow"
It's so much more powerful. When you see a shadow, you only see a flat, colorless shape. How can you decide if you like something you can hardly even see? You need to look up close, so you can see the freckles and the tiny scars, or maybe the wrinkels from having too many emotions, how about the brown spots in their eyes and how the white turns blue in spring. Life is about detail dear, and if you don't look close enough to see the similarities in their split ends and their lashes, I don't trust you to ever begin to like their soul, so don't judge a person by their shadow. It's only 1/10 of what they are. © 2015 Chané |
