The WindA Story by Chandra LeeJust a very short piece on the wind. We had some strong winds last night and inspiration hit me. The genre doesn't really fit it, but I couldn't find the proper genre to label it correctly. Enjoy!
The wind, in all it's unseen, sweet serenity, pulsates through the
darkness of the night. It's invisible ferocity touches all within it's wake, save for the sleepy mortals within the warm confines of their homes. Alas, the exteriors of the buildings are not safe; the normally gentle, placid creature roars with a might that batters the walls, which creak against the thunderous sounds throughout the night, pushing away the angry, merciless beast that once hovered over the earth. As the hours drag on, the beastly cries die down, the wind placated, satisfied that the skies above it are cleared of any remnants of the storm prior to its awakening. The evening drags on, the wind settled in for a well needed rest like those peaceful souls around it. © 2011 Chandra LeeAuthor's Note
