Bygone stands IntegrityA Poem by Chandini HemdevA value and moral lost and long goneBygone stands Integrity
The one who has integrity! No care hath she, When honesty dominates her life fully! To transform the ideal into the action She has her respect and fairness and responsibility. To know to live through the sweet uses of adversity, Keep your cool and maintain your values is integrity. But values that hath no meaning, that no person cares to know Is now integrity. Bygone as the civilizations, lost in the years Lost is integrity. Success by false means, winning and cheating Being a great part of society, fairness and compassion has lost its originality. Love and laugh, adventure that is good, Memories that are cherished and forgiveness is the fruit. To have confused the right with the wrong, To have forgotten to differentiate between good and bad Losing our morals and our values to the mutability of the world Is bygone integrity. Decisiveness and truthfulness is the essence of purity That wins over the false impressions of popularity. To be truthful and courageous Is seen to be a coward now Which take us a step back from leading our life with integrity. Deceit hatred jealousy and lies Are the devils weapons to make you cry Lose no hope, but bent to work on making a heaven in hells despair Respect is not given and hence not taken, Excellence is seen as a hole in the person For the person is a dead soul without integrity. When pride walks in, steps in the fatal flaw To break the person and his individuality. The light that guides your way, may fade away When you give up on integrity Lost and wandering will be the soul, without the true morals it used to hold With no ethics to guide and no happiness to seek, we give up on eternity. Eyes can lie, while eyes can realize The true genuineity, a person can fake it, But the eyes always break the in genuineity Lost to the world, gone back to nature Through the corruption and caricature The person is stooped in blood with an empty stature For he hath no integrity that’s left the world with its misery. © 2014 Chandini HemdevAuthor's Note
