A Poem by Chandini Hemdev

Reasons

It feels like the naked mile,

where I shed my inhibitions,
and yet have no place to reside.
Running along with garments torn,
hopes, and dreams out lorn;
searching for that one man,
you can dig out of the clan;
of those many men, who pretend to be nice,
yet poke you with a horrific crime.
Not just lost, but bare you seem,
of all those whims and ideals that gleamed.
Once so bright that face was lit,
but now struck confused in the moonlight you stood;
the chasm between the thought and the deed,
is your mind shooting out its power at you.
Just as the heavens seem bright n lit,
She bought to his world a magical mist of purity that fit
of emotions and faith,
to fill in him the hope of grace.
But then did he realize that it was a two way process,
to see her in his arms for him to possess.
She digressed and flew far and wide,
kingdoms long gone, magistrates died;
in that flee so swift, in so magical  a night,
she left her own attire in a tremendous fight.
Hence loitering bare rather naked she fell,
on the laid of faith of her own lives will.
So it goes between the adored and the adorer falls the shadow,
she cannot make out the real fasard among the meadow.
