Own Lies

Own Lies

A Poem by Ada Pacia

Boom!

It hit me.

Suddenly, I realized I'm crying.

Just yesterday,

He showed me that breathtaking smile.

A moment ago,

I saw him with her.

Ouch!

Yes, I was deceived

That easily.

Just a glance...

a smile...

a simple hi...

from him

Is so special!

Forcing out the thought

that they're unintentional.

Creating my own lies,

Believing and having false hope.

Yet I know the truth.

"Your nothing to him. Nothing!",

A voice shouted within me.

No, he must have mean it.

I still forced my self.

My mind was shut,

Locked against reality.

And now, my world is down.

I was hurt by my own lies.

This is totally relatable to me, and I like it.
It's sad, yes, but speaks the truth of what I'm sure many people go through.
Great write :)

Sadly beautiful. Longing and more. You write simply and yet every word's important.

'And now, my world is down. I was hurt by my own lies.'

I truly hope your next poem shows happiness.
