Perplexed

Perplexed

A Poem by Ada Pacia

I didn't realize I was fighting a battle

     - a battle against no one.

The aftermath debris

     is a staring shattered me.

I pick them up,

ashamed from weeping on my own lies.

With and for my own self,

I stand up for a silent redemption.

I muffle my last cry

and walk away from this self-destruction.

Then you said, "Hello."
