how i constantly feel in life

Birds flying up and away

Away from me

With feathered wings and tail feathers

Steering gracefully in the sky

 

They leave me here alone

Stuck on the ground

I have lost my wings

Or where they taken

I cannot remember

 

Sometimes they come back for me

Trying to help me fly

I am feathered, but i am flightless

A lamed baby bird

Fallen from her nest

I have learned how to walk on my own

I can fend for myself

But they still come back

To share in the loneliness of

Being a flightless baby bird
