“And they say I do”

My friend's wedding day.

And they say I do just awhile ago

He met her and he fell in love.

She knows him and understands love.

Now they stand, in front of God and man,

Forever united according to God’s command.

 

A blissful moment for my two friends with hearts intertwined.

Finally sealing their hearts longing and desire,

under the smiling beauty of the night sky,

glittering and rejoicing just like the merry couple of the time.

 

I’ve come to a realization that love does exist

Considering that for the longest, I thought that it’s only for the lucky few

In this place I’ve seen a lot of couple, happily together

Not simply because of affection but because Christ is in their center.

 

Both of you now share the same path and are starting anew

Two different individuals now considered as one

With pastor’s and wives willing to light your way

 With friends around to brighten up your day

With God’s word establishing your path in light

I hope you’ll enjoy a marriage full of life

 

It takes attraction to fall in love

It takes courage to decide to love

It takes time to prove your love

But it will only take God for you to stay in love.
