The darkness of Man

The darkness of Man

A Poem by Chad Hollingsworth
"

Just words describing a heavy heart after reading the story of a young couple that was brutally raped and murdered in East Tennessee this year.

"

A man's heart is depravity.
His soul a vast cavity.

Without love from above,
There's only hate to propagate.

I want to believe that most aren't deceived.
But looking around, cruel evidence is found.

With murder and rape, evil men are stealing,
Innocence is lost, leaving the victims feeling
Remorse for the course, man's heart is now reeling.

Darkness so vile, this discourse I'm giving
Seeking truth when full of frustration's living,
Needing anyone, someone to bring hope to this thought,
My cry so loud, Is it all for naught?

The stories in papers and on tv,
Only brings sadness and sorrow to me,
Afraid that rejection of Jah will continue,
And sin shall eat at man's strength to the sinew.

Hurting inside, crying outside,
Fear for our children,
No place to hide.

How bad will it get?
The end is not yet.

It will only grow darker
My senses grow sharper.

The pain that's within
This world filled with sin,
Is becoming our friend.

And will continue...

Until we begin where it all began
Seeking the One, turn the page and
Release all our loss
Consider the cost
And place ourselves at
The foot of the cross.

Without a Savior
I know that I'll never,
Be released from my fear,
But if I draw near,

I'll hear His voice...

Peace and salvation,
The rocks, they cry out
For man has become
Laden with doubt.

Darkness it has
A simple cure,
Simply fall on your face,
Accept Him who's pure.

IF THESE WORDS WERE HEARD,
YOU"D SEE THAT I'M SCREAMING.
OFFERING ESCAPE FROM THE
NIGHTMARES THAT YOU'RE DREAMING!

No doubt a shout that's carried about
Can change.......rearrange
Man's soul and intentions
Dismissing dissension

IF...

His Word we will keep
Embracing its' retention.
The only decision
Is for soul circumcision.

Where do you stand?
Choose now which hand-

The left or the right
Two choices in sight
One death and one life
One peace and one strife.

I beg and I plead,
His Salvation we need,
Release from this greed,
That lies in man's seed.

Follow me to repentance,
Speak now this sentence...

Forgive us Lord.
