Forever

A Poem I wrote for my wife on our 5th anniversary. Eleven years and still going strong.

love knows no limits

when held tightly by two

 

although it may become

stretched and twisted

torn and tattered

it cannot be separated

it is one

 

you are my compliment

you make bad things good

and good things better

you are the glue that holds together

all the pieces of my insanity

 

you bring

reason to my cause

purpose to my being

inspiration to my existence

and hope to my drowning

 

you intoxicate me

and yet sober me when needed

 

thank you for your love

it is a gift that I have treasured

a gift that I will secure for the future

 

thank you for being the one,

 

i do love you

both now and forever.

You should give this to the person that you wrote it for. It's beautiful, and a man who can write poetry this good and honestly tell the girl is amazing. Women find that as a true show of your love. I'm sounding sexist aren't I? LOL. Anyways, it was very pretty, it reminded me of how I feel for my boyfriend. Continue to write, you are very good.
