Challenge me

Challenge me

A Poem by Chad Rogers

Each smile,

Last’s but a while,

Tis, fraudulence,

Hiding abhorrence,

Life in exile.

During the greys,

of the passing days,

I engage the rage,

reverse the curse,

and turn the page.

With vicious tenacity,

I struggle through the tragedies,

of what’s come to pass,

Will it last? I ponder…

Take a breath, adapt mentality drastically,

battling…

Conjuring superior mastery,

and overcoming adversity.

Come again, and challenge me.

This has an odd feel to it. Parts of it seem almost melancholy and parts of it seem so angry and confrontational. These feelings sometimes go hand in hand in the real world, so I would say this was a spectacular mixture. Keep them coming!
