Two Faces

Two Faces

A Poem by ChIs

Character sketch. Me.

Outside-
Moody
Unreasonable
Out spoken
Stubborn, carefree, sarcastic, rude
Love a good laugh
Book-smart
Bit of a know-it-all
Bitchy
Middle class

Inside-
Ditto &
Burdened with disappointments that won't show
Hard working
Perfectionist.
Those are the parts of me that the outside
Will never know

Won't always smile
Or pretend to be a saint
Cuz that's the picture
Someone 2 faced will paint

It is strange how me caring
Is mistaken for being fake
But if fair complexion does so
You ll be in heaven's wake
Make up and promiscuity
Any average man will want that cake.
In a few years
Anticipate the ultimate 'Shake.'

The 2 faces I wear are
One and the same
If you want to remove a mask
Look no further than the smiling dame.

But sigh- if it's love
Does it matter that there's deception?
She fills your nights with pleasure
So despite the truth
you treasure her.

So with both the faces
That I 'supposedly' wear
This f****** lunatic and S#!*
Hopes you are happy no matter with who or where.
